Immunizations are needed for every age of life, from birth throughout adulthood, make sure you are protecting your health and the health of your family. Immunization clinics are done at the Lyon County Southwest Health and Human Services building on the 2nd floor, the 3rd Monday of each month (may be subject to change). Immunizations are provided by appointment only. The Murray, Pipestone, Redwood and Rock County offices provide immunizations on a limited basis and by appointment only.

Immunizations are provided for a fee to people that are 0-18 years of age:

  • mnvfclogo[1]American Indian or Alaskan Native
  • Uninsured
  • Has insurance that does not cover vaccines
  • Has insurance covering only selected vaccines
  • Have Minnesota public insurance
  • Have reached the cap on their vaccine coverage

Limited adult immunizations are available to uninsured adults.

If you meet the requirements above and are eligible to get vaccinations at Public Health call to schedule a appointment. Bring along your immunization record. The charge per shot is $20.00. Service will not be denied to anyone who is unable to pay. Client unable to pay will be asked for a donation. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and must wait 15 minutes after receiving the immunizations before leaving the office.

Southwest Health and Human Services can not give immunizations to anyone who has insurance that fully covers immunizations. People with insurance coverage for immunizations should call their medical provider for immunizations.
